Warringah Mall – integrating both individual and groups of flood barriers into a shopping centre

Work is nearing completion on the Westfield Warringah Mall redevelopment that featured a

significant investment in flood protection devices designed and supplied by Flooding Solutions.

Seven self-closing flood barriers have been installed as well as several 24/7 flood doors around the complex. All flood barriers are linked to the building management system allowing Centre Management to monitor each barriers deployment status.

Working to a flood protection performance brief provided by environmental services

experts Cardno, Flooding Solutions designed, manufactured and installed several

types of flood barriers to suit the flood dynamics at flood risk locations around this

large shopping centre.
